Cozy Pets is operated by App Onboard, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and delete information when you use Cozy Pets, our websites, and related services.
Cozy Pets is a mobile game and companion experience with ads, in-app purchases, subscriptions, consumable items, randomized virtual rewards, generative AI features, push messaging, analytics, and Firebase-backed cloud services.
Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated by your gameplay and device, and information processed by service providers that help operate Cozy Pets.
- Account and sign-in information: Firebase user identifiers, anonymous account identifiers, email sign-in information if you create an email account, and Apple or Google sign-in identifiers when you choose those sign-in options.
- Gameplay and app content: pet profiles, pet state, bond progress, message read state, memories, virtual items, randomized reward results, settings, and other in-game progress.
- Purchases and subscriptions: product identifiers, entitlement status, restore events, purchase history signals, and transaction or receipt information needed to provide subscriptions, consumables, non-consumables, and purchase support. Apple and Google process payment details; we do not receive full payment card numbers from those stores.
- Advertising and analytics information: app interactions, ad opportunities, ad views, rewarded ad completion, ad availability, device identifiers, advertising identifiers when available, diagnostics, fraud-prevention signals, and consent choices.
- Push notification information: notification permission state, Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens, WidgetKit push tokens, device registration records, and delivery or interaction metadata.
- AI feature information: prompts, selected gameplay context, pet state, input images or media you choose to provide, generated text, generated images, generated videos, output URLs, and metadata needed to operate chat, image generation, video generation, moderation, safety, and abuse-prevention features.
- Support information: information you send to us by email or other support channels, including your contact details, request details, screenshots, diagnostics, and any other information you choose to include.
How We Use Information
- Operate Cozy Pets, authenticate users, sync progress, save pet state, and restore purchases.
- Provide subscriptions, consumable items, non-consumable items, randomized rewards, and entitlement checks.
- Generate pet messages, images, videos, and other AI-assisted content.
- Serve and measure ads, prevent ad fraud, manage consent, and honor device-level privacy choices.
- Send push notifications and widget updates when you enable related features.
- Analyze performance, feature usage, crashes, ad behavior, purchase flows, and product quality.
- Respond to support, privacy, deletion, safety, and legal requests.
- Protect Cozy Pets, users, service providers, and the public from abuse, security incidents, fraud, and policy violations.
Firebase, Analytics, and Cloud Services
Cozy Pets uses Firebase and other Google services for authentication, database storage, server functions, analytics, messaging, app integrity, and related infrastructure. Firebase stores gameplay records, account records, generated content records, notification registrations, analytics events, and operational data needed to run the game.
We use analytics to understand how Cozy Pets works, improve reliability, measure feature use, and diagnose issues. Analytics events may include app interactions, purchase-flow events, ad events, pet-state events, and technical metadata. We do not use analytics to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.
Ads and Tracking
Cozy Pets uses AdMob and AppLovin to serve, measure, and manage ads. These providers and their partners may process identifiers, device information, ad interaction information, approximate location derived from network data, consent choices, and fraud-prevention signals.
We use platform consent tools such as Apple App Tracking Transparency and Google User Messaging Platform where required. You can limit ad tracking through in-app choices where available and through your device settings. Some privacy laws may treat certain ad measurement or personalized advertising activity as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising use. In-App Purchases and Randomized Rewards
Cozy Pets may offer subscriptions, consumable items, non-consumable items, and randomized virtual rewards. We use purchase and entitlement information to provide purchased content, restore purchases, maintain access, prevent fraud, provide support, and comply with store requirements.
Randomized reward odds and purchase terms are presented in the app where required. This Privacy Policy covers the data practices related to those features; gameplay rules, pricing, refund handling, and odds disclosures may also appear in the app, store listing, or terms of service.
AI Features
Cozy Pets uses OpenAI APIs, fal.ai, and may use other AI service providers and models as the product evolves. AI providers and models can change without individualized notice, but we update public or in-app disclosures when legally required or when store policies require disclosure or consent before a new provider receives personal information or user content.
AI features may send prompts, selected gameplay context, pet state, input images or media you choose to provide, generated outputs, and technical metadata to AI providers. OpenAI API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default unless we opt in, and OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring logs for a limited period under its API terms. fal.ai may process prompts, input media, generated media, output URLs, and request metadata; Firebase is the long-term storage location for generated Cozy Pets content that we retain.
Do not submit sensitive personal information in AI prompts or media. AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, unexpected, or inappropriate. We may use safety tools, content filters, moderation, reporting, and abuse-prevention measures to operate these features responsibly.
When We Disclose Information
We disclose information only as needed to operate, improve, secure, and support Cozy Pets.
- Service providers: Firebase and Google services, Apple services, AdMob, AppLovin, OpenAI, fal.ai, hosting providers, cloud infrastructure, analytics, messaging, support, safety, and security vendors.
- Store platforms: Apple and Google for purchases, subscriptions, app distribution, account services, and store-policy compliance.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, legal process, valid government requests, enforce our terms, detect abuse or fraud, protect rights and safety, or investigate security issues.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
- With your direction or consent: when you ask us to disclose information or when a feature clearly requires disclosure to provide the service.
Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Cozy Pets, maintain purchases and entitlements, secure the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and operate support and safety processes.
Generated images, generated text, and generated videos may remain in Firebase indefinitely by default. We delete those generated records when you delete your account or submit a valid deletion request to support@apponboard.com, except where we need to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, financial, or store-compliance reasons.
Some providers keep short-term logs, backups, fraud-prevention records, safety records, or transaction records under their own terms and legal obligations. Deleted data may also remain in backups for a limited period before routine deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
- Use device settings to control app tracking, advertising identifiers, notifications, and related permissions.
- Use in-app consent choices where available for advertising, tracking, notifications, and AI disclosures.
- Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or opt-out rights where applicable.
- Contact Apple or Google for store-managed payment, refund, and subscription controls.
Privacy rights vary by location. California and other U.S. state privacy laws may provide rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling uses, and avoid discrimination for exercising privacy rights. European, UK, and Swiss users may have additional rights and may lodge a complaint with a local data protection authority.
Children and Teens
Cozy Pets is intended for a general audience age 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Cozy Pets, contact us at support@apponboard.com, and we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.
Teens should use Cozy Pets with appropriate guidance from a parent or guardian. Some features, including ads, purchases, subscriptions, randomized rewards, chat, generated content, and notifications, may require extra care or supervision.
Security and International Processing
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No service can guarantee perfect security, and you should use a strong account password and keep your device and app updated.
App Onboard, Inc. is based in the United States. We and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Cozy Pets changes. When we make changes, we will update the date above. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the app, website, store listing, or another reasonable method.
